Questions before you set out

Where does the event begin and end?

Check-in begins at Big E’s Sports Grill at 5:30 PM. Teams return there by 7:30 PM for light appetizers and the finish-line celebration.

Do we need a car?

No. The route is designed for walking or short drives, so each team can choose what works best.

How large should a team be?

Teams of any size are welcome. Two to six people is a good fit for sharing clues and moving around together, but gather the crew that will make the evening fun for you.

What happens if weather affects the event?

We’ll email registered teams at the address on their registration form if weather changes the plan. Safety comes first, so timing or activities may be adjusted when conditions require it.

Where should we park?

Use legal street parking or a public downtown lot near Big E’s. Give your team a few extra minutes to park, walk to 121 E 8th Street, and check in together.

Can the route accommodate mobility or other access needs?

Teams may walk or make short drives between public downtown locations. If distance, stairs, or another access need could affect your team, email clues@hollandrotarycharities.org before the event so we can help identify a practical accommodation.

Can children participate?

Yes. Children are welcome and must stay with a responsible adult throughout the hunt. Teams will move through public areas and should use normal care around streets, traffic, and other visitors.

What food is included?

Light appetizers are included at the finish-line celebration. Ingredients and kitchen cross-contact can vary, so contact us in advance with allergy questions and bring a safe alternative when needed.

Should we register in advance?

Yes. Advance registration helps us prepare clue materials and food. Registration may close when the event reaches capacity, so same-day participation cannot be guaranteed.

How will you use our registration information?

We use the information you submit to process registration, match the team with its payment, and send event-related updates. Payment and form services are also governed by their respective privacy policies.

Should our team dress up?

Matching shirts, work uniforms, costumes, or a funny shared theme are all welcome (but not required).

Where do the proceeds go?

Proceeds benefit Holland Rotary Charities and projects that strengthen communities locally and globally.

Three clubs. Seven Areas of Focus. One community.

Every clue leads to a cause.
